Summer stream water quality was monitored before and following the logging of 50% of the boreal forest within three small watersheds (<50 ha) nested in the ‘Ruisseau des Eaux‐Volées’ Experimental Watershed, Montmorency Forest (Québec, Canada). Logging was conducted in winter, on snow cover according to recommended best management practices (BMPs) to minimize soil disturbance and protect advance growth. A 20‐m forest buffer was maintained along perennial streams. In watershed 7·2, cut‐blocks were located near the stream network and logging was partially allowed within the riparian buffer zone. In watersheds 7·5 and 7·7, logging occurred farther away from the stream network. Observations were also made for watershed 7·3 that collected the runoff from watersheds 7·2 and 7·5, and watershed 7·6, the uproad portion of watershed 7·7. The control watershed 0·2 was contiguous to the impacted watersheds and remained undisturbed. Following clearcutting, changes in summer daily maximum and minimum stream temperatures remained within ± 1 °C while changes in diurnal variation did not decrease by more than 0·5 °C. Concentrations of NO3? greatly increased by up to 6000% and concentrations of K+ increased by up to 300% during the second summer after logging. Smaller increases were observed for Fetotal (up to 71%), specific conductance (up to 26%), and Mg2+ (up to 19%). Post‐logging pH decreased slightly by no more than 7% while PO43? concentration remained relatively constant. Suspended sediment concentrations appeared to increase during post‐logging, but there was not enough pre‐logging data to statistically confirm this result. Logging of moderate intensity and respecting established BMPs may account for the limited changes of water quality parameters and the low exceedances of the criteria for the protection of aquatic life. The proximity of the cutover to the stream network and logging within the riparian zone did not appear to affect water quality. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

研制了1套以三分量MEMS检波器为核心硬件的微地震监测系统,并结合GPS系统对监测过程进行精确授时.同时编制数据化记录和处理软件,实现网络化自动监测功能;通过开发计算机判别标准和实时定位理论系统,对数据和微震源进行自动化处理和计算.利用该系统对东辛油田营11进行了6个月现场注水微震监测,对监测数据的处理表明营11注水区域裂缝发育方向基本上为NE90°-NE125°,与地应力裂缝模拟结果相符较好,两者结合给出了这个地区合理开发部署建议.  相似文献

Stable isotopes, tritium, radium isotopes, radon, trace elements and nutrients data were collected during two sampling campaigns in the Ubatuba coastal area (south-eastern Brazil) with the aim of investigating submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) in the region. The isotopic composition (δD, δ18O, 3H) of submarine waters was characterised by significant variability and heavy isotope enrichment. The stable isotopes and tritium data showed good separation of groundwater and seawater groups. The contribution of groundwater in submarine waters varied from a few % to 17%. Spatial distribution of 222Rn activity concentration in surface seawater revealed changes between 50 and 200 Bq m−3 which were in opposite relationship with observed salinities. Time series measurements of 222Rn activity concentration in Flamengo Bay (from 1 to 5 kBq m−3), obtained by in situ underwater gamma-spectrometry showed a negative correlation between the 222Rn activity concentration and tide/salinity. This may be caused by sea level changes as tide effects induce variations of hydraulic gradients, which increase 222Rn concentration during lower sea level, and opposite, during high tides where the 222Rn activity concentration is smaller. The estimated SGD fluxes varied during 22–26 November between 8 and 40 cm d−1, with an average value of 21 cm d−1 (the unit is cm3/cm2 per day). The radium isotopes and nutrient data showed scattered distributions with offshore distance and salinity, which implies that in a complex coast with many small bays and islands, the area has been influenced by local currents and groundwater–seawater mixing. SGD in the Ubatuba area is fed by coastal contaminated groundwater and re-circulated seawater (with small admixtures of groundwater), which claims for potential environmental concern with implications on the management of freshwater resources in the region.  相似文献

基于近岸不规则波浪传播的抛物型缓坡方程和两类波浪破碎能量损耗因子,对近岸波浪破碎区不规则波浪的波高分布进行了数值模拟,并结合实验结果对数值模拟结果进行了验证分析,结果表明采用两类波浪破碎能量损耗因子所模拟的破碎区波高与实测值均吻合良好,波浪破碎能量损耗因子及波浪破碎指标对破碎区波浪波高分布影响较明显。  相似文献

In this study we used two stable isotopes, δ13C and δ18O, for water mass classification in the coastal region off eastern Hokkaido. δ13C* values, which were corrected for the biological effect, and δ 18O values up to 300 m depth suggested that the isotopic character of the onshore and offshore water in the southern Okhotsk Sea, the Nemuro Strait and the western North Pacific could be explained by the mixing of three source waters: the Oyashio water (OYW), Soya Warm Current water (SWCW) and East Sakhalin Current water (ESCW). In summer, δ 13C*-δ 18O plots indicated mixing between SWCW from the southern Okhotsk Sea and OYW in the Pacific coast of southeastern Hokkaido, while temperature-salinity plots of the onshore water showed minimal difference from the offshore OYW. In winter, on the other hand, the mixed water of ESCW and OYW (or SWCW) appeared in the Pacific coastal region, distributed as cold, low salinity onshore water. Finally, we estimated mixing ratios of OYW, SWCW and ESCW in the coastal region of western North Pacific using their mean values of δ 13C* and δ 18O as endmembers. These results suggest seasonal and yearly changes of water mass combination en route from the southern Okhotsk Sea to the western North Pacific.  相似文献

2006年1月~10月福建闽东大嵛山附近海域游泳动物调查研究结果表明,该海域的游泳动物有97种,其中鱼类51种(软骨鱼1种,硬骨鱼类50种),隶属于9目24科42属;甲壳类42种,隶属于2目15科20属;头足类4种,隶属于3目3科3属.暖水性种类为33种,占鱼类总种数的64.7%;暖温性鱼类18种,占鱼类总种数的35.3%,未出现冷温性和冷水性鱼类.种类数的季节变化依次呈夏季〉冬季〉秋季〉春季.生物量的季节变化,依次呈夏季〉秋季〉春季〉冬季;而生物量尾数的季节变化,依次呈夏季〉春季〉秋季〉冬季.平均单位网次渔获生物量和密度分别为9.53kg/h和1 319 ind/h.生物量优势种和密度优势种分别为大黄鱼和中华管鞭虾.扫海面积法估算年平均现存资源量为57 370 ind/km^2和404.51kg/km^2.同时,本文对该海域游泳生物的资源结构现状与历史调查数据作了对比分析,并讨论了多样性结构与生物量的季节性变化规律.结果表明,该海域渔业资源有严重衰退的现象,多样性结构与生物量的季节性变化并不具有必然的一致性.  相似文献

近年来长江河口北支水沙特性与河槽稳定性分析   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
根据崇头、青龙港、三条港和连兴港1950~2001年潮汐潮流观测资料和2005年6~7月的大、中、小潮及2007年5月5~10日沿北支河槽进行的两个连续潮周期水、沙、盐的现场观测数据并结合参考2005年的实测地形图.通过对长时间序列(1950~2001年)的分流比、年均流量、潮位、潮历时等数据的整理分析并与近期(1998~2005年)的水文特征值比较,发现随着北支分流量逐渐减少,河槽内强烈的潮波已成为影响北支河槽不稳定的主要因素;青龙港近年来(1998~2005年)平均高、低潮位出现增高,比多年(1950~2001年)平均高、低潮位分别高出15和17cm,是北支河床近年来持续性淤浅的体现;大潮期间北支河槽涨潮含沙量无论量值还是扩散强度均大于落潮,明显表现出河口涨潮槽具有的泥沙运动规律.自2001年以来除少数年份的小潮汛外,均表现出明显的涨潮优势,其中2002年3月大潮的潮量优势流仅为9.42%,显示出涨潮优势十分明显,说明北支河槽近几年来正朝着衰退的过程发展;2005年北支河槽-2、-4和-6 m等深线均呈喇叭状,闭合端指向上游,符合涨潮槽的几何形态;再从河槽类型系数(λ)看,大潮期间λ值均大于1,最大值为31.1,涨潮槽特征显著;而洪季中、小潮各测站λ值均小于1,最小值为0.000 3,A、B两测站在大潮时λ值均大于1,而小潮时又都小于1,显示北支河槽虽主要表现为涨潮槽的特征,但洪季受径流和潮汛影响,其涨潮槽特性不稳定.总体而言,目前北支河槽为一条不稳定的废弃型涨潮槽.  相似文献
